StarCraft 2 Zerg Tactics That Will Make Your Opponent Cry
Hi and welcome to my StarCraft 2 Zerg Strategy guide. I want to share my top 2 StarCraft 2 strategies for zerg player with you so you can crush your Protoss and Terran opponents.
Why are the strategies so effective? Not only are they surprising for your opponent, he will have a hard time scouting them, too. Secondly they concentrate on exploiting certain flaws in the strategies of Terrans and Protoss.
The strategies are mid-game and late-game strategies that you can develop after your initial build order. They can tear the opponent’s army apart in tough situations.
Let’s head on to the first Zerg strategy.
Bombing Banelings
Baneling Bombs are not the same as the Baneling Bust. I recommend you to use this strategy if you fight against a Terran player who uses a huge Marine army to rule the map.
You have to morph a lot of Banelings somewhere where it’s unlikely to get scouted. The second step is to load them all into your Overlords. Bring your Overlords into position and wait until the battle started. Start to attack with your normal units while at the same time sending in the Overlords from the side!
Since you will drop them directly on top of your opponent’s army they will not be hindered by your other units. Kiting, the normal StarCraft 2 Terran strategy won’t stop your Banelings this time. Always bring in more Overlords than you have Banelings – Your Overlords will tank some damage and therefore protect the filled Pverlords and other units.
But don’t ever try to drop on undistracted Marines – their DPS will focus on the Overlords and kill them faster than you can spell Larvae. Always check if your Overlord speed is upgraded before starting to attack.
The Nydus Network
This Zerg strategy is most effective against Protoss players. The StarCraft 2 Protoss strategy is to have one huge army. Since they can not split up their army they are forced to guard only one place. Focus on exploiting this weakness. Force them to sacrifice at least one position by attacking at two places on the map at once with your Nydus worms.
The Protoss has to sacrifice one expansion/base in order to save the other one since splitting up his army in not an option.
